Working groups
Mia is a Research Assistant in the Infectious Diseases Implementation Science working group. Her work primarily focuses on viral hepatitis within key populations, and program design and implementation both within Australia and in international contexts.
Mia completed an advanced Honours degree at Monash University, majoring in immunology and microbiology. Through this degree, she completed her honours project at Burnet Institute in 2022. This project investigated COVID-19 vaccination access and uptake, including demand and supply side challenges within Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, and the Solomon Islands.
This project delivers hepatitis C prevention, testing and treatment services and hepatitis B testing and vaccination services.
This project will generate evidence on how to improve hepatitis C prevention and care for people who inject drugs in low-and middle-income countries.
